Our Story
Kind Closet has been part of downtown Jackson since 2015, becoming Kind Closet when Alisha took over the former Tootie's Boutique in July 2022.
Since then, it has grown into something completely its own — colorful, a little quirky, constantly changing and never quite the same store twice. You'll find clothing, shoes, purses, jewelry, books, gifts, kids' items, home goods and plenty of unexpected treasures.
Behind it all? Mostly just me. ❤️ I'm Alisha — the one photographing inventory, dressing mannequins, packing online orders, helping shoppers and probably rearranging something I just rearranged yesterday.
Kind Closet also proudly partners with JCAPS to support animals in need within our community.
It's not fancy or corporate. Just a small-town shop run by a real person, filled with things that have stories.
Come find something kind. ❤️

What Is Consignment?
At Kind Closet, we help our community give gently loved items a second life. While we're often compared to a thrift store, consignment works a little differently.
When an item sells during its consignment period, the consignor receives a portion of the selling price—making consignment a great way to earn extra money while keeping quality items in circulation.
To provide the best experience for both our consignors and our shoppers, we're selective about what we accept. Every item is carefully evaluated based on factors such as condition, style, brand, season, demand, and value. These guidelines help us maintain a high-quality selection while giving our consignors the best opportunity for a successful sale.
