Mission & Goals
Alisha and John Weland purchased the store in July of 2022 (formerly called Tootie's Boutique). The original consignment shop was established in 2015. It's now a privately owned business, Kind Closet, LLC; partnered with a non-profit organization Jackson County Animal Protection Society (JCAPS).
When you make a purchase or share our boutique with friends & loved ones, you not just 'thrifting'; you're supporting our small community & helping us raise funds/awareness to the need for a shelter facility in Jackson, MN.

What Is Consignment?
Our store helps members in the community recycle items they no longer need or love. While this may be similar to a thrift store, consignment offers a way to give back to the community. When an item sells within its consignment period, the person who brought it (the consignor) receives a portion of the final selling price.
In order to be successful, we are selective on the items we accept. We evaluate each piece for quality and price accordingly. Many different factors go into the process. We have guidelines in place in order to give our consignors the best payout possible and our shoppers the best selection possible.
